Biography
Private First Class Fred Dent Turner was from Atlantic, Iowa. He was the son of Mrs. R.R. Turner.
Fred was formerly of the Class of 1920 at Iowa State College. He enlisted with the National Guard on June 5, 1917.
He left New York City with 168th Infantry overseas and arrived in the Toulous Sectur on December 12th, 1917. He was killed in action while delivering a message to his officer on March 3, 1918.
