A convenient place to park since 1967!

Connected to our building, the Memorial Union parking ramp is located on the south side adjacent to Lincoln Way. There is another entrance located on the north side along Union Drive. The clearance for the parking ramp is 7 feet. If you have any questions regarding parking, please don't hesitate to reach out to our parking desk assistant at 515-294-9635.

*Due to the current renovations, our north entrance is currently closed.

Parking permits for the Winter and Spring 2025 go on sale Tuesday October 8 at noon CST.

MU Parking Ramp Permits include annual, summer, winter, spring and fall permits. 

 

Winter Permits: Valid 11/18/2024 to 3/2/2025 - $270

Spring Permits: Valid 1/19/2025 - 5/18/2025 - $295

Memorial Union Parking Passes are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are a current permit holder, you must submit a request every year. No refunds will be issued for purchased permits.

 

If you are interested in a parking permit, please submit an application. There is an initial card fee of $10. MU parking permit holders must now renew both their parking application and payroll deduction form every year by July 1. The monthly payroll deduction amount will be $56.66/month effective July 1, 2024. Lost/Replacement Permit cards will incur a $20 replacement fee.

The Memorial Union utilizes a convenient payment system with pay stations located throughout the building. Visitors may also pay as they are leaving the ramp via the pay station located at the exit. We accept VISA, Mastercard and Discover.
