Biography
Private First Class John Ferris Hufford was the son of Mr. E. M. Hufford.His hometown was Toledo, Iowa.
John graduated from Iowa State College in 1917 with a degree in Animal Husbandry. He enlisted August 2, 1918, at Syracuse, New York.
He was assigned to the Quartermaster Corps where he earned the rank of Private, First Class. The Army transferred him to Camp McClellan, Alabama, on November 1, 1918.
John died of heart failure there on March 7, 1919.
