Expand your surface decoration skills by exploring the possibilities of slip. During the first session, you'll create forms to decorate in the following two classes. Explore marbling by layering colored and white slips onto leather-hard pottery and manipulating them with tools and movement to create flowing, organic patterns and rich surface effects. You'll also learn Mocha Diffusion, a technique that uses an acidic solution to create intricate, branching designs that spread across a wet slip surface. Discover new ways to add depth, texture, and visual interest to your pottery.
This is perfect for those looking to expand their technical skills, but it is not for beginners.
