Ian Lara is one of the hottest fast-rising comics in New York City. He first found success after recording his Stand-Up Featuring on Comedy Central which has garnered over 10-million views, and also made an appearance on the first season of NBC’s Bring the Funny. Lara then made his late-night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that same year.
He’s been a regular player on Comedy Central’s This Week At The Comedy Cellar with his second set hitting the 10-million views mark yet again. Lara has additionally been featured in The New Yorker and was named New Faces of Comedy by the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.
He debuted his Comedy Central half-hour special, Growing Shame, in 2022 followed by his first standalone HBO special, Ian Lara: Romantic Comedy, now streaming on MAX, later that same year. More recently, Lara was named one of Variety’s “Comics to Watch” and made his third appearance on The Tonight show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
