Events and meetings hosted at the Iowa State Memorial Union are permitted during building operating hours of Monday – Saturday 7am-10pm and Sunday 11am-10pm. Requests for use of any Memorial Union meeting, ballroom or adjoining facilities beyond normal building hours require the approval of the MU Associate Director for Operations. Additional building hours requests should be made at the time of reservations in the MU Event Management Office. Requests additional building hours access should be submitted no later than twenty (20) business days prior to the requested event date. Requests submitted within twenty (20) business days may not be accommodated.
All approved additional building hours requests will be subject to the following fees at the start of each hour:
Recognized Student Organizations - $60.00/hour*
University Departments - $120.00/hour*
General Public Events – $200.00/hour
*ALL approved reservation requests that extend between the hours of 12am-6am will be subject to $200/hour fee due to the need to extend building custodial services.
