Biography
Ensign Anthony Francis Soukup grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and was the brotherof Anna Soukup.
He graduated from Iowa State College in 1917 with the Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He enlisted in the Navy in June 1918 and eventually received his ensign's commission at Annapolis, Maryland.
Anthony died from pneumonia, following influenza, while at sea aboard the USS North Carolina on January 21, 1918.
