Biography
Private Frederic William Lieberknecht was from Letts, Iowa. e was the brother of William Lieberknecht and somehow related to Henry Lieberknecht (father?).
He graduated from Iowa State College in 1914 in the two-year agricultural program. He enlisted at Wapello, Iowa and was assigned to Company A, 20th Machine Gun Battalion.
Frederic died at the base hospital of Fort Riley, Kansas of pneumonia following influenza on October 9, 1918.
