Biography

Joe Horton White came to Iowa State from Des Moines, Iowa to study Animal Husbandry. He was the husband of Mabel Eaton White.

Joe might have graduated with the Class of 1919 in Animal Husbandry, but instead he enlisted in the Army at Camp Pike in Arkansas on July 26, 1918. He was assigned to Casual Company D, 4th Training Regiment. He achieved the rank of corporal and had been selected for Officer Training School.

He died of lobar pneumonia on October 5, 1918.
