Biography

Private John Henry Stinogel was the youngest son of Henry and Mary Stinogel. He was born September 8, 1900 and grew up in Lohrville, Iowa. He was a member of the Methodist Church there.

He graduated from Lohrville High School in May, 1918 and enlisted in the Student Army Training Corps in Ames on September 27, 1918.

John died from pneumonia caused by influenza less than two weeks later on October 10, 1918. He was buried at the cemetery at Lohrville on October 12th, 1918.
