Biography

Born, February 28, 1895, near Grand River, Iowa to W. H. and Minnie Campbell. Neal Dow Campbell came to Iowa State College from his hometown Grand River, Iowa. He graduated in 1915 with an Animal Husbandry degree.

On June 26, 1918 he joined the United State Naval Reserve at Des Moines, Iowa, and became an apprentice seaman. He was assigned to Company L, 4th Regiment at Camp Perry, Great Lakes, Illinois.

Neal died there of Spanish Influenza on September 22, 1918. He was the son of Mr. W.H. Campbell.
