Biography

Robert Ward Allen was the son of W. M. Allen of Michigan.

He graduated from Iowa State College in 1935 and received a Master's degree at the University of Michigan later on.

In the years just before the war, he worked as a biologist at the Blackwater National Refuge in Sante Fe, New Mexico, in tandem with the Soil Conservation Service and the Fish and Wildlife Service. 

Robert died somewhere in the South Pacific on October 13, 1943.
