Mother's Room
The Mother's Room in the Memorial Union is located at 2557, which is on the second floor, near the information desk. You can check out a key to the room at the information desk. The room has counter space, electricity, water, and a place to sit. It's available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The room does not have a fridge or storage, so have a plan to take your expressed milk and your pump with you.
Remember to clean up after yourself and report any problems to the information desk staff when returning the key.
Universal changing tables (UCTs), sometimes known as adult changing tables, are used to provide a safe, hygienic, and dignified space for people with disabilities, medical needs, or other reasons to use public restrooms, often used with the help of a caregiver. A fixed-height universal changing table is available for use in our gender-neutral bathroom on the 2nd floor near the information desk.
The table measures 70" in length and is 30" wide, with a maximum weight capacity of 350 pounds.

Reserve the Multicultural Center's Multipurpose Room
The Multipurpose Room of the Multicultural Center can fulfill your need for meeting space, receptions, and many other uses. Please reach out to Multicultural Student Affairs at 294-6338 or omsa@iastate.edu to reserve this space, which is free to student organizations. You can also fill out a reservation request online.
Please note that any catering for events held in the Multipurpose Room must be done through ISU Dining.
Multicultural Center Art Philosophy
The art philosophy of the Multicultural Center is to embrace, express, and celebrate the diverse cultures of Iowa State University and create a welcoming space for students.
Distinctive and unique artworks in stoneware were created especially for the Multicultural Center by Steve and Miki Cunningham of West Des Moines, Iowa. Featured pieces are a mirror, mosaic panels and four vessels. Other featured artwork is provided in collaboration with the Brunnier Art Museum.
