The newest lounge area in the Memorial Union
The Main Lounge is located on the second floor across from the Durham Great Hall. The center of this innovative collaboration space features a modern, eco-friendly and 100% safe fireplace that runs on water. The cool-to-touch flames will emit a warmth sure to make you feel cozy on even the coldest of Iowa winter days, just like a real fireplace. Located in the heart of campus, this location is a great place to study, relax or chat with friends while taking in the beautiful campus scenery through the iconic floor to ceiling windows at our north entrance.
